You now have me wondering; at how many hours (unsure if an hour timer is on the Onan?) or period of time is it recommended that the generator oil be changed?

Thanks in advance.

Thumbs up Gen hours

Thanks Mollysdad !!!! I corrected the pic, but then I couldn’t upload it correctly......Ima analog guy in a digital world......😔

Gen hours: On the newer “C-zone” controller, the “Generator” tab will show accumulated time in small numbers on the right. I think Onan wants you to check oil level every 20 hours.....not sure about oil change. As a new unit, I changed @ 20 hours, and again now at 30 hours; planning to change every 20 hours; probably overkill, but I believe in pampering the little (220cc) air cooled engine ‼️
Without starting a dreaded oil thread, I went to straight 30w HD at 30 hours, with a few more months of unreal heat.....we use gen alot for air conditioning

I am on my third airstream. Onan manual says to change oil first time at 20 hours and thereafter every 150 hours. I am not mechanically inclined at all and I always go to a nearby Cummins Onan facility for the change. I questioned them about the frequency and they said the reason for first early oil change is to catch the machining debris when new. There is no oil filter. They confirmed no need to change until 150 hours thereafter. I am sure everybody knows the unit takes a small amount of oil and the oil sensor will shut engine down if too much or too little oil. There is little room for error. That with the difficulty of getting to the area to fill the oil makes putting in the right amount is more difficult. I have put thousands of hours on my Onan units and really have had no problems

As per the manual for the 2020 AI 19, first change at 20 hrs, second and subsequent every 100 hrs.

Love the home-made ramps - they look oh-so-familiar.

But is that a dually on a non-dually ramp? Is that do-able?

We had a discussion a few years ago about DIY ramps and IIRC someone mentioned that it would be a hassle to make them as wide as they would need to be for the Sprinter's rear wheels.
