It's always a dude was leaving in my bus and shaking his set of metal keys while I have been driving on not perfectly-mirrored roads. I tried to catch him many times, and yesterday I finally did. He was living in the attic of toilet/shower room. What I've done was removed the fan's bezel, and got the access to the attic. O my! To say softly, the Airstream assemblers are not so picky guys - they've put in there crapy insulation and lighting wires were hanging along with the metal parts of both housings of ceiling lamps. I accommodated all those items together, put there additional insulation, ... and the man with his shaking keys was gone ))))... probably to some other bus )))

Don't anyone have him there in the toilet attic?
)))))

The bathroom overhead fan rattle is number 37 on the long list of squeaks, rattles and clicks on an Airstream Interstate!

Patiently trying to eliminate all of them, one by one, each at a time )))

Btw, interesting for me - does big RV buses, even very expensive ones like Prevost, have all those 37 men with metal keys in their list?

Gives new meaning to "Fans of Airstream Interstate"!

Thanks, Mr. B, for being fan number one! (I think there are many of us here that love their Airstreams in spite of craftsmanship flaws!)

GCWR = 15,250#
UBW = 8,133#
NCC = 2,897#
The trailer hitch is rated for 7,500# trailer weight/750# tongue weight, but you'll never get that much trailer weight without exceeding the GCWR. A more realistic value would be about 6,400# assuming two people plus one duffel apiece in the Interstate, and full propane and freshwater tanks.
So the Airstream Interstate will easily tow the Airstream Nest Caravan when it comes out. (Prototype Nest weighs about 2000 lbs.)

Hello all interstate lovers )

Who know if it's possible to add air ride rear suspension at a dealer or at a good mechanic and if yes how difficult it is?

Probably could contact them here:

for approved installers.

Glide-Rite has a lot of experience with air suspensions on Sprinters. They're a UK company and the pound is currently near historic lows so there may be a deal to be had if you can DIY or have a local mechanic that can do the install.

Wonder if theirs would require moving the generator? Couldn't tell from the pics.

There's no place to move it to— the generator is shoehorned into the only under-body spot where it will fit. But you can pretty much guarantee that it would require removal and reinstallation of the generator just to get it out of the workers' way.
