E&P Level System Smartphone App

For anyone that has the current generation E&P Level System on their Interstate, have you successfully used the available smartphone app (“E&P Hydraulics by Alko”)? I downloaded the app, but there are zero instructions in the app or in the printed user manual about how to connect to the system and I haven’t been able to figure it out. Thanks.

The app is probably a little redundant since the control screen can be popped out and used as a remote, but I can’t help myself - if something is available I must set it up!

I tried also. After some online research, seems you have to buy a separate WiFi module in order to connect your phone. Guess I’ll be sticking with the supplied remote.

Just an FYI regarding the E&P remote leveler control device. Our fell out and shattered due to the internal battery swelling up and pushing it out of the storage container under the passenger seat. It seems the battery in the sealed units are prone to swelling causing them to not latch into the holder.
It’s been a bugger to find a replacement which we have yet to locate.

E&P Hydraulic leveler control panel

Did you ever find a replacement battery for your leveler control panel? My 2022 24X E&P Hydraulics control panel is dead despite it receiving the required 5V and the battery registering 4.17V., thank you, Bob

We did find a replacement for the whole darn unit, controller and docking bay. Not an inexpensive repair. No warranty.

Okay I’ll bite.

We had the exact same circumstance, battery swelled and Remote no longer inserts into the docking/charging base.

Curious if anyone has;
A. Tried using the Iphone app in lieu of the remote?
B. Sourced a replacement from Airstream? How much?

Same problem. The 3.7 volt LiPo internal battery for the removable Touch Pad controller for the E&P hydraulic levelers in our 2021 Interstate 24 GT expanded opening the case.

Does anyone know the exact number for that battery and where one can obtain it? The documentation for the E&P system does not indicate anything other than that it is 3.7 volts. And the numbers printed on the swollen battery are unreadable.

Thanks so much for posting an update about this. I haven’t looked at the Controller. Are you telling me I can open it up and maybe snap photos for you or get some info off of it I will do that

so far we’ve been good.
Our remote always lives inside the pedestal, except if we’re at a campsite, and then we pull it out shortly it turns itself off after sitting on the dash in the shade

I wonder if if the remote gets exposed to heat could that could’ve caused any of these problems. ?

3OnOurWay,

Yes. The case on the E&P Hydraulic Leveler Touch Panel Controller can be easily opened to access the Touch Pad’s replaceable 3.7 volt LiPo battery. This can be easily done by inserting a tool at the side between the front and back sections of the case. The case gently pops open and just as easily goes back together.

Inside you will find a square LiPo battery that is ~ 1.75 x 1.75 inches square that plugged into the controller by red and black wires. The battery is removable though lightly glued to a metal plate.

On that battery there should be printed some numbers. One of them likely is a six digit number something like 105050.

It would be very helpful to me and others if someone who has the E&P Hydraulic Levelers could open the case of their Touch Panel Controller and photograph the battery so that we could see those numbers.

Thanks.

There are no markings on the exposed side of the battery in our remote. If there are numbers, they must be on side attached to the metal plate. Ours is fine for now so I am hesitant to remove the battery.

just went through a control panel replacement after it just up and died around 2 yrs old. a new control panel is on the order of $1,200 (without associated labor if necessary) and Airstream Parts (Ohio) has them in stock. E&P has recently extended the warranty period from 2 yrs to 3 yrs so try first to contact them for the part, but, you may still need to go to Airstream Ohio to get that extended warranty honored unless you can convince your local Airstream dealer to assist.

info@ep-hydraulics.co.uk - located in Canada and a Holland manufacturer
