Drain lines above above generator on AI

Hi random question
While under getting her stir ready to change oil I saw two black drain lines adjacent to /above generator. I didn’t try to trace lines, anyone know where they go to /come from. ( Doesn’t make sense that they dump on top of generator housing.)
Thanks

Hi.( Bumping )

Still wondering if there an answer out there, thinking the fluid / moisture draining would not be good for generator.

Please post a photo of the lines so we have a better idea what you are talking about and what fluid they might contain. They could just be the propane lines.

What is the size of these lines? What Is their diameter?

1/2 or 5/8 of lines

Sorry for delay got busy but was under van yesterday . There also a similair line that run in behind cabinet area and when water pump is in a AI 24GL and dumps to roadway.

Thank you Boxer, my question should have provided more details.

Those look like low point drains for cold and hot water lines.

Airstream doesn't seem to care where they put them. On the AI19s they are right above the rear leaf spring on passenger side with external valves. Several owners have had them get sheared off by the leaf spring and then lose all their water if pump is on.

See attached photo of their poor design. I moved the valves inside as shown in second photo. I can just reach the internal valves from rear of van. Potential problem solved.

Since the generator will get wet/dirty from normal driving in the rain etc, I wouldn't worry about the water from the low point drains hurting anything. After all, how many time will you winterize it and flush out those lines?

Thanks all for the responses. I agreed generator does live a hard life down there with road scum. I cleaned it when I changed the oil yesterday.

Unlikely they are Lowpoint drains on the 2021 the low point drains are closer to where the gas connection is and they’re made out of that same PEX type hose. This hose appears more automotive. It’s those two black lines and that’s about the middle of the floor of the MH

I think you are referring to the drains from your tankless hot water heater. One pressure relief drain and one freeze protection drain.

Thank you. I had checked it but didn’t see these two.

I wonder why tankless driving lines are missing off this pdf.
Poster below nailed it.

In our GT, you can access the drain valves by removing a cup holder on the curb side just in front of the couch. I would guess your GL is similar. I have used them when I winterized the van by either pumping RV antifreeze or blowing low pressure compressed air through the system.

Hi thanks yes the curb side drain lines are under the cup holder by rear lounge
And the road side drains are behind drawer under sink on a GL

The lines in picture, above generator are most likely tankless hot water (Thanks to post above )
