Mike and Fishin, here's what I've found after watching things for a couple of days:
The chassis battery didn't so much stabilize since I gradually watched it go down to 12.58V; then on the following morning I found it back up to 12.75V. So the BIM must have opened during the night - perhaps because it was cooler?
Then today, I found the chassis battery was down again to 12.57V. And I noticed the Magnum was on Float at 13.0V.
The other day when I first noticed this, I had returned from a trip to Phoenix where the temperature was 115F that day, and the AI stayed hot all the way home and probably didn't cool down in my garage for 2-3 days.
So Mike, I agree with you that the Magnum must be lowering the Float voltage to compensate for the temperature.

Given where you live, I think this is very likely what's going on.

Final observation: the garage has cooled down; the Magnum is now showing Float at 13.1V and the chassis battery is back up to 13.08V.
That calls for a beer!

I know this is several years old, but we just bought a 2017 AS 24GT. After sitting out for approx 3 weeks plugged in and door battery switch on, the engine battery was dead. After reading this wonderful information here, I switched the Magnum to flooded batteries even though I have 4 AGM1 house batteries, not sure what type of battery I have for the chassis. Anyway does anyone know if this is hard on the AGM1 batteries?

Tjhaga, I don’t know the answer to your question but maybe can give you a little advice. We unknowingly had a setting wrong on our inverter after purchasing our Interstate. Called Magnum and they helped trouble shoot it and walked us through the correct settings. They are helpful with questions if you call, might be a good question for them if no one else has the answer on it.

If you are a new owner, congrats and welcome to the group. Nice to see another Iowegian in the group!!
