Change Storage Battery

The storage battery on my 2004 Interstate is under the front passenger seat. Battery came with the unit. Time to replace. Ideas?
Too access the battery it appears without the help of a manual. One can remove the two rear seat stops and slide the seat off the tracks. Does this sound correct.
Any help welcome.

At seven years old most likely. Have they had regular maint. and use?
Charge if you can, take to auto parts store they will test for you.

No. Assuming you have the same seat that I do, there is a much easier way:

Reach under the front edge of the bottom seat cushion and you will find a latch lever (maybe two, I can't remember). Release this latch and you will discover that you can simply slide the whole bottom cushion forward and off. You will then have access to the battery from the top without removing anything else. No tools needed.

The above answer is true. Prior to doing this you need to remove six metric hex nuts located in the seat tracks. Now the seat will slide off. You will release the normal seat latch that moves seat back and forth. While pulling this latch forward also locate a small latch just under the seat cushion release this latch by pulling forward and the come off. It maybe helpful to have a second person hold one latch while moving seat forward.

I just went out and confirmed my memory. At least on my 2004, you can remove the seat bottom to access the battery without removing any fasteners at all. There is a single latch in the center-front of the seat-bottom (if you were sitting in the seat, you would reach down between your knees to find it). Release this latch and pull the seat bottom cushion forward and it will come right out.
