Anybody with a Cabbunk that can share their experience?

"FYI" is generally considered to be in the spirit of helping, isn't it, and those search results might lead to user experiences.
Not sure if this is worth the effort. Good luck.

Cabbunk ordered and will be delivered by tomorrow evening. The seller was very gracious to ship it out for 2nd day express delivery from the UK to USA. Will report back with feedback after installation and kids’ comments. I figured if I was willing to spend what I did on bugscreens, this should not be a hard decision.

Cab bunk installed happened last night. With the wall panel kit around the window behind the driver seat, combined with the location of the slider door grab handle, the install was much more difficult than it would be on a Sprinter-based Class B+ or C, After our trip, I’ll report back on usage with the kids and some in-use photos. The lower bunk area is pretty tight, so we’ll see how that goes.
After much deliberation about how to get the install done, I moved the bracket holding the wall panel as far toward the window as I could to allow for the vertical upright to mount against the B-Pillar. Then the horizontal bar that slides through the bracket on the vertical upright was tight up against the wall kit. I didn’t want to make a hole in the wall kit, but needed some way to make sure the bar didn’t slip out of the support, so I drilled a hole through each end of that horizontal bar and slid a bolt down through so when the bar is installed in the support, it is now impossible for it to slide out. Photos to come in next post.
It really is a very tight fit, but I believe it will work out ok, as long as the lower bunk kid doesn’t feel too claustrophobic

That’s pretty cool looking, and should work well for kids.

Wachuko, you have to be careful sliding the seats forward as the slider mechanism will sort of shred the ends. At some point I’ll probably wrap the ends in some black duck tape so they have some more strength. I haven’t scraped my ankles on the seat frame since I put them on though so that’s been really nice. They are strapped on with a couple of Velcro cord wraps.

Hello, I'm new to this forum and was interested in the Cabbunk but not sure how my kids will like it. Before spending big bucks on a new one, I was wondering if anyone had one they never use or kids outgrew that they would consider selling?
