Well...I guess I have officially joined the ranks of the RVers... First problem occurred today. Getting ready for a trip in a couple of weeks. Going in the shop to have the batt-temp probe installed on Tuesday. Today I was cleaning things up, went to exercise the generator (do it once a month)...it started fine. Ran well for a few minutes, when the load from the Magnum inverter/charger kicked in the genset started stumbling and finally stopped.
The remote panel flashed "Service Required" code...and a series of numbers on the remote panel (that are not in the troubleshooting section of the genset manual). Fortunately, I was ALREADY setup to go into the shop. Now I have another item for the techs to handle. Better now than half way across Texas.
I remember Jim Lovell talking about having their "mission-glitch" during the early stages of Apollo 13's flight.....maybe I don't want to think about that storyline.
