MIKE - Not smart of Flojet to use soft metal for containment bolts. . . or very smart but tacky, guaranteed failure & sale every few years. What were they thinking? Sorry you had to go through multiple replacements

I only did one repair to my macerator pump. Replaced bolts with upgraded SS now used by Flowjet.

MIKE - Ooops, confused you with GMILLEROK1 (3 replacements in 7 yrs, that has to be the record macerator MTBF, not a record I want )

ALEX AVI has it right here. When I replaced my macerator with the portable version, I connected up the tubing to the reel and I couldn't get ANY flow out of the macerator hose at all. Once I disconnected that and connected up a garden hose directly to the outlet, all worked perfectly. The pump itself appears to be identical, with the only difference being the barbed outlet vs. male garden hose. Too much vertical elevation change over a short span when going to and through the reel.
