I did some research in the “Installation” manual.....the mfr actually recommends using 1” sound pads around the whole unit. The manual shows how to create a “box” over the gen (not possible with our installation).The only warning is to leave the “Access panel” clear for intake airflow, AND the bottom of the unit, where hot cooling air exits. I’m thinking of adding more Noico pads on the sides. I have wrapped pads with metal (alum) tape for add’l security.....
