Awning Angle Feedback - 2018 ASI

Hey folks, is it my imagination or is this awning extended at an extreme downward angle compared to your awning?
(NON - Fiamma 2017, 18,19)

I just unfurled this awning for the first time, and it seems / feels / looks as though the downward angle is greater than it should be.

Thanks for your feedback, in advance.

Iirc, the previous awnings angled slightly forward toward the front bumper, for water runoff (remember getting wet at the front door from water drainage, while manipulating the retract switch under front passenger seat).

Mine’s in storage, so I can’t check it, but it looks pretty normal to me...

It does not appear to me that yours is extended at an extreme angle!

Our 2015 Fiamma F65 awning angle can be adjusted to the owners preference.
Maybe your 2018's awning can be too!

Thanks ~

Yah know, I’ve had so many of these van I decided today this awning ain’t right. The (led) lights shining back at the van are usually much higher as I look out at them.

I’ll confirm with dealer next month.

If it was much higher, in a light rain, water could puddle up in the fabric, and that's never good.
I still cringe at the loads transferred to the roof line in any wind. I guess I'm a low tech person who still likes arms.
Seems about normal. The flatter ones have scissor braces on the side.

IMO awning angle to low if interfears with door or cannot walk under safely. I tilt if raining both out & corner furthest from door.

I think it is correct also. My fiance insisted we put our portable sunroom screen tent under it. I didn’t get the logic...but sometimes we aren’t on the same page. The awning hit the top of the sunroom and retracted (as I thought it would). Apparently not entirely as we had to figure out the annoying alarm as it wasn’t totally in the housing all the way. Learned the fun way what that alarm means! Listen to that for about an hour and I was ready to get home!

FWIW, the Fiamma awnings on our Interstate Motorhomes are not supposed to be extended if it is raining!

You’re probably a trailer owner if you’re tilting

Not an option here

Thankfully, Fiamma was no longer the supplier from 2017 onward.

Scott,
The angle looks identical to my 2018 AIGT EXT.
