Anyone still tow with a B-Van?

DH has always loved the B vans. Now we may have an opportunity to buy one - but don't know much about them. Do any of you still own one? Do you tow TT with it? any advice or warnings?

Are you asking specifically about the Airstream B190? Or any B-van including the Avenue and Interstate?

We sold ours back in 2011. We love our trailer but we have some nostalgia for the B190. I don't know of anyone who tows a trailer with one, but I've seen it happen as recently as 2007 or 2008, so it's entirely possible someone is doing it.

The B190 is just a Ford E-350 van. I towed my former 1971 27 foot Airstream TT with my 1999 Ford E-350 passenger van. Only issue is to stay within the GCWR (Gross Combination Weight Rating). I had the 5.4L Triton V-8 in the van and a weight distributing hitch. It handled the trailer just fine, had to keep it out of overdrive and got 10 mpg towing.

tow with a Cl B MH all the time

A MH van may be the best trlr tow vehicle. Enroute, U can sleep in MH & not disturb/set up the trlr. I don't have A/S as my acct shows, but I took my 34' Featherlite from Gulf to Glacier NP with 1997 Coach House MH in 2012. No problems at all via NM, CO, WY Big Horn mtns., MT, ND, MN, IA, MO, TN, AL. High alt. cuts power, but heavy MH aids stability. CH is on an E250 extended HD chassis w/E350 rear springs.
Let's Roll !
Wolf
PS: I can power trlr w/MH genset !
