So what does one do in the meantime ? Oh that’s right one is 96 miles from home with no transportation . The dealer might allow one to stay in their Atlas overnight .
Then once the repair is made one still has to drive the 96 miles back to home .
So that’s about 200 miles to get a repair and 1 to 2 days to do it . Time and fuel spent is money on top of the repair . Can you really blame one for not being happy to have to do this ?

This summer the A/C in our ‘22 Globetrotter conked out. We made an appointment with Airstream of Northern Michigan to have it serviced. They took it in, fixed it, and returned it to us that day.
At the time we were in Petoskey MI. Airstream of Northern Michigan is South of Traverse City Mi, a distance of about 75 miles, one way.
So, yeah, I’m not really feeling a day trip to get a set of steps fixed is an unrealistic situation to find oneself in.
