The BIM must be powered at all times for it to function. It cannot be disconnected from the Coach battery. Not sure why the antenna power does not shut off with the battery disconnect switch.

My antenna power turns off with the battery switch off. Same with LP.

You may be the only one. On my 2012, when it was still new and I was still learning the ropes, I ran my house batteries stony dead by leaving the antenna amplifier switched on because I thought it was also routed through the disconnect. Now I know better, and I make a point of shutting it off separately.

Mine is a 2013 - I'm going to have to check and see what really switches off; but based on the battery going dead in 24hrs while the disconnect was OFF; I doubt mine turns off antenna or LP.

Took me two trips and battery dropping to 8v to realize the antenna & LP even had cut-offs!

Best advise to newbies: "Turn off the antenna & LP when not in use!"

Absolutely! Adding the second LP switch inside was well worth the effort for us!
