AI19 Blind Spot Assist Continuous False Alarms

New 2022 AI19 and Blind Spot Assist is continuously on - almost always, both sides! Red triangle in mirror, beeps when changing lanes - no traffic there. Annoying. Any thoughts? I have a date with the Mercedes Dealer next week.

Maybe a bad sensor? Brand new the system was buggy on our 2021 but it has settled down and now functions well about 89.5% of the time. Must be a nuisance for you to drive, hope the dealer gets it fixed. Our dealer offered to do a system realignment if problems persisted. I read in a post somewhere (after our dealer offered) the system benefits from realignment once Airstream upfits. No idea if this is true. And, no idea how the system corrected itself.

Thanks for input. My AI19 is at the Mercedes Dealer now for Blind Spot Assist. Hopefully it is a easy system recalibration?? I guess I'll find out in a day or two.

We had the same issue with our 2021 GT. It was not a recalibration or sensor issue but a case of a heavily painted bumper by Airstream. After MB recalibrating and changing the sensors 2 times with no results, they ordered a new bumper and had their body shop paint and install the new bumper and the problem was resolved. We’ve not had the “christmas lights” problem and has worked well since.
There is another post with this same issue and hers was resolved by MB in Palm Springs the same way.
Hope yours gets resolved.

Thanks for the input. MB is replacing our sensors on Tuesday this week so we'll see if they works. I am curious as to what color you GT is?
Ours is Iridium Silver which has some metallic in it so that has me wondering. Might be more to an issue than the white or black ones.

Also, can explain what you mean by "Christmas lights"..is is just the red light going on and off?

We have iridium silver also.
“Christmas lights” is because it was constantly blinking like chistmas lights.

For what it is worth I have no issue on a 2016 chassis 24’ long
It works very well with a few rare exceptions I think at night.

Bumper paint may be the issue

Does anyone know for certain if the corner panels of the rear bumper are painted by Mercedes or Airstream? See images.
One theory on my issue is the corner potion comes unpainted from MB and is painted along with the additions of the lower portion as part of the upfit. If the paint is metallic and applied too thick, it can cause continuous issues with the Blind Spot assist.
If anyone from Airstream or if any one knows for certain, your input would be appreciated.
