AC problem Airstream Interstate 2018
Howdy,
I have a week old 2018 Airstream Interstate Lounge. . Used AC off campground 30a last weekend and several times off generator with no problems. Last night used for four hours on generator no problem. Arrived at canpsite this afternoon plugged in, nothing, nada, zilch. Tried with generator same dispiriting result. It’s hot here in Columbus Ohio. I’ve flipped breakers, cut the house batter off and on, tried to take a break and restart everything. Nothing works, not even the fan by itself. If you toggle fan speed between low and high, you can hear a click but nothing else.
If anyone has any ideas on how to get it going again, I will be grateful , extremely grateful.
Best,
Michael

JC is just up the street. Ask them, " what's up with this after a week".

Welcome to forum. And sorry it is under bad circumstance. If no A/C from shore or gen, very possible transfer relay having issues. Though, normally I am guessing it may only be stuck using one source and not losing both. Unless it's output is the issue, like lost connection.
Are you able to run lights or audio/video via inverter? If can't run anything from batts either, maybe Magnum inverter fried like my current problem. If Magnum fried, it's ATS Auto Transfer Switch may not work either, and not pass 120v to its loads. But A/C has its own path via it's own breaker, so it shouldn't affect it.
The clicking you hear yrying to turn fan on may bw the Firefly fan and/ or A/C modules. Each one has a separate one.
As suggested, may not be much else user can do, other than call dealer or JC.

Sounds like a problem with thermostat control. Are all indication on the thermostat normal - or does that function go through the FireFly system on the new Interstates? If so that might be a clue to problem and you need help from Airstream. Call customer service for starters.

MIKE - You right. I think I misunderstood OP description of problem. Could OP please elaborate. Is it just A/C not cooling properly or A/C not running at all. I had A/C comm problem with Firefly, which limited A/C compressor run time to 3mins, then only fan would run. Requires new firmware upgrade and new Firefly front panel.

Thanks Alex - just downloaded the 2018 Interstate owners manual and see Climate control is totally through the FireFly multiplexed system. OP, Zeitgeist's problem sounds like it needs intervention by Airstream.
