2022 Airstream Range LIne

Just came back from AS dealer to check out the new Airstream Range Line. Nicely appointed and a reasonable price point. We currently have a 2019 16' Bambi Sport and are considering a switch to this new AS line of motorhomes.

Am interested in what the AS community knows about this new line of AS motorhomes and if they are as good as they appear.

The AS Range Line is built on a RAM 3500 chassis and has 200W of solar up top, an on board Onan generator and Battleborn lithium batteries. Everything (heater and water heater) runs off of gas in the gas tank; no propane. Cook top is a one burner electric induction "hot plate". Lots of room for toys and storage. Seems to be a good layout and features. Sleeps 2, 4 with the pop top option.

What have you all heard about them? Anyone own one?

Thanks

There was no 2022 Rangeline so I doubt anyone has driven one. The 2023 just came out, this is the first I heard of one being at a dealer.

Here is another thread on it.

I have one on order that should be here in March. Chandler is getting their first on in this week.

I am interested in extended warranties since it is so new.

Does anyone know what type of tie down points you can use with the installed tracks?

Interested in using Mac’s Single Stud Tie Down rings.

Also would like to know if there is a tire pressure monitoring system, alarm and what safety features such as lane departure, blind spot monitor, etc.

The TPMS question is one that would have to be answered via research on the RAM3500 platform they use for the Rangeline, or maybe by asking your Airstream dealer. As you may already know, the Sprinter 3500 platform for the Interstate does NOT come with TPMS. OTOH, the Sprinter 3500 is a dually, whereas the RAM 3500 is not. So, it's definitely worth digging into this, but I'm hopeful that the odds are in your favor.

Thanks. I am finding that I know more than the dealer at this point. Hopefully, that will change soon with more Rangelines coming in.

Airstream uses Mac’s tracks so all Mac’s tie down points work.

I've posted a few videos of various details and some of my initial impressions after purchasing the 2023 Rangeline. We took Delivery in December and has had many more issues than our prior Interstate.

Wow! Very thorough videos.

Ours is supposed to be here in March. Now I am questioning the quality…

Quality?

Husband and I looked at a Rangeline yesterday at a dealership in San Diego. The first thing I noticed upon entering the rig was a cupboard, located behind the driver's seat, approximately at eye level. The doors on the cupboard were installed crooked. This was a brand new rig. I thought Airstream was supposed to be the top of the top in quality. Is subpar installation normal?

Mine has the same issue with the doors all aligned slightly differently. Once it is back from the dealership I’ll look to see if they are adjustable to improve the alignment.

The latest video I uploaded shows some examples of the misalignment.

Thank you, I agree, especially when comparing the quality level to both other Airstreams as well as other promaster class Bs.

Pretty much a deal breaker for us in shopping for a B. Adding Airstream to the "no" list.

Who told you that?

Airstream....They look a bit different, but the "QUALITY" definitely does not match the price point.
