2021 Airstream Nineteen Generator Location/Access

Where do you access the generator on the AI19? Where is it installed?

I’ve read through the entire 2021 manual but no details on location or access I can find for it. I also did a search in the forum but am not finding it anywhere.

Is this the correct manual?

https://www.airstream.com/wp-content...anual-1120.pdf

On p. 3-7 [PDF p. 23/120] it says:
_________________________________________

"To use the generator, you simply start it All switching is done automatically The generator can be started from any of the Multiplex Systems control panels It is easier on your generator and appliances if you’ll allow the generator to reach its normal operating speed (about a minute) prior to applying heavy current loads. Your Touring Coach is equipped with an Automatic Generator Start System (AGS). The purpose of an AGS system is to automatically start (and run) the generator when the 12 volt electrical system (house batteries) drops to a pre-determined level. See Section 5 for more information on the AGS System"
________________________________________________

On p. 5-11 [PDF p. 43/120] the AGS is described in the right column, and the next page refers to a switch over switch and to the additional manuals which should come with the AI19. You appear to be correct about the absence of access etc. info.

I assume you have not yet received this 19' Airstream Interstate? Maybe call your dealer for further info and some emailed copies of the generator manual, and access info?

Airstream is not known for its detailed manuals . . .

Good luck.

Hey thanks. It’s true, I have not yet taken delivery as posted above. Of course I can and will ultimately call the dealer. I was hoping that someone who already owns a 19 would post about it’s location and then it would become a matter of public record for others like me who might have the same question. I certainly will be posting pictures along with information as I think it will be helpful here.

Not sure the point of this post? Are you suggesting I shouldn’t have moved this out to a clearly labeled thread that another person searching would more easily find?

Excellent link thanks.

A reminder to all that you can click on the "Headline" at the top of the YT frame, to open up a new window/tab/etc. for Full Screen etc. options.

Here is that time-stamped location: https://youtu.be/BsJ9Ye2pgtQ?t=460

Welcome.

The Roadside illustration on Page 6-6 of the manual does not even show that exhaust pipe [nor label it, of course]. [PDF p. 60/120]
