2020 Interstate 19 heated windshield?

I could not find an existing thread on this topic. My nineteen appears to not have the AS advertised heated windshield. It does not have the the switch located where the Sprinter manual says it should be. Since I picked up the van in July in Texas I only now find a need to look for it. All of the AS documentation, my owners, web page, media release says that it should have one.

Looking for comments from other owners. Is this another AS feature missing like the 10 In display? Thanks.

If you have a heated windshield you can see the fine heater wires embedded in the glass - you have to look close to see them. My 2013 Interstate EXT Lounge has this feature.

But I suspect Airstream may not have been able to get the heated windshield, much like the missing 10 inch display. Mercedes Vans have had many supply issues this past year and many are not getting the options they ordered.

The options that you're asking about seems to be on the 4wd AI 19s, at least that's what I've noticed. If you go out to rvtrader and look at the 2wd vs 4wd, you'll notice that the 4wd have the 10.25" mbux and the heater button. the pic below is an example of where you would find the heater button. Even though the pic is from a rig on rvtrader, my rig has the same location of the heater button and also has the 10.25" mbux. Individuals in the past have mentioned that AS also mentions a spare tire and that's not on any AI 19 that I've seen.

Yes, i saw that as well. It looks like all the 2wd models listed do not have the heater button. Congratulations on your 4WD. At the time i ordered my 2WD it was thought that the 4wd was about 2 inches taller. Not sure of the final numbers. I built my workshop with a 10 ft ceiling (finished at 9' 11" from concrete floor) to fit a 2004 19 ft. AS Bambi which was about 19.5 ft long by 9.5 ft tall. My 2WD fits but.......

The AI 19's have an Onan generator behind the rear axle where the spare tire is normally located. Spare has to be eliminated to make room for generator.

Thumbs up 2 wd 19’tb

Agree with all on this topic of 2 vs 4 wd “standard” equipment. Iwas told that AS is having a heck of a time getting these 2wd chassis........The Amazon Prime & Fedex contracts are HUGE.....limiting availability to the RV makers.....they get what they can.

We are super pleased with our new (2020) ‘19 TB.....apparently there will be very few on the roaD anytime soon.....I do miss the spare & auto level......am carrying BIG cans of Fix-a-Flat:
