Hey,
We did what you never should do and shut the sliding door over the closed screen. Now both are stuck, Any suggestions before I destroy the screen (jk)?
This has happened to me...we were able to open it by using the inside door handle. It required an incredible amount of additional pressure on the handle's "thumb button" but we got it open with no mechanical damage to anything. I believe the screen on the screen door was loosened up to some degree, but that was an easy fix...good luck!
You're absolutely correct, you never want to close the sliding door with screen door in the closed position...a rookie mistake on my part.
Update : took my sprinter to MBZ of Orland Park, IL. Their commercial van service department is excellent. They removed the sliding door of the screen and got the door working. No charge and super friendly and professional.
