For weirdstuff's and dungrace's info, my dealer will be removing the seat and sending it to a local upholsterer for repair. Hoping it's going to be done properly!

They finally got the parts in and my Interstate is in the shop today. Yesterday, I tested the AC unit out to run the generator and it didn't produce cold air so I plugged it into shore power to see if it's broken. Now the AC is not producing cold air. I think I bought me a bad Interstate and hopefully they will fix everything by this week.

My Interstate has been in the shop for over 2 weeks to get all the broken stuff I mentioned in the post and they called yesterday to tell me they finally fix the bed to make it fold flat but the rest of the parts are not in. The service adviser told me that my Magnum Energy system is damage so now they have to order the parts to replace it. I asked her why it's broken when it is barely used and she doesn't know. I wonder how much longer for all the parts to be in cause it's been in the shop for too long now and all they fix is the bed. I am having so much luck with my first RV and why does it take so long for Airstream to send the parts to the dealership? I bought it brand new and everything is beginning to break.

In the pile of literature that you received when you took delivery of your Interstate is an "Owner's Rights Under State Lemon Laws" booklet. At the back is a detachable notification card to send off to Airstream. List the faults and send it off and see what sort of a response you get.

I was told by my dealer to expect a normal two week parts cycle unless it is a part they happen to have in stock (and they keep minimal stocking levels because sub assemblies change so often), the part is not being replaced under warranty, or it is a well known common problem like the smoke alarms. Otherwise they have to send a description of the problem to Airstream and wait for their approval and getting the part before proceeding or they might not get paid for the warranty work.
