12v access for Fridge in 2017 GT Ext
I am easily able to get to the 120V a/c connection to the fridge/freezer in the closet on my 2017 AI GT Ext. I have been using that to drive the fridge from my Goal Zero for boondocking. However if I was able to get to the 12V connection on the fridge then I would reduce the conversion losses from my Goalzero. Has anyone done this? Is it easy to get to the fridge 12v connection on the Interstate? Thanks in advance!

Our van is a 2010 so it's likely to be quite a bit different that yours but thought I'd chime in to generate some discussion.
I wondered the same thing as you for our 2010 and wasn't able to find the 12V wiring behind other panels. I removed the refrigerator recently (for an entirely different reason) and found the 12V wiring in ours was directly behind the refrigerator, in a bundle with other wires. The only way to access our 12V wiring was to remove the refrigerator.
I suspect I could have found the needed wiring back at the fuse panel but wasn't certain it might not be part of a larger "circuit" at that point.
By the way, it was not difficult to remove the refrigerator in our unit. Remove the door(s). Remove the caps covering the screws. Remove the screws. Slide the unit out.
YMMV

Check out wxbuoy thread on removing the frig. It appears there are 12v wires plugged in directly. It does sound that most have experienced that those wires are very short when you go to remove the frig to access them.

2018 GT fridge
Today, I temporarily removed the louvers above my refrigerator to take a look at the airflow situation. The fridge and freezer are operating great, but if I can reduce the compressor on-time, it would lessen the load on my Goal Zero.
There is nothing I can do on the fridge sides, but I laid my hand on the bare refrigerator top and it was ice cold. The evaporator is just an inch or so below. There has to be a lot of heat leakage there. I happened to have some 1/2" thick insulation mat, so I cut a square and glued it to the fridge top. There is some insulation in the wall behind, but there is a wide area in the center with bare metal.
The worst thing I found is a wide-open gap to the "attic" above the bathroom. Airstream did not put any insulation above the bathroom ceiling! I had previously inserted some glass insulation into that attic through the bathroom fan opening, but there was still some non-insulated area. I used more of my insulation to block off the attic area from the fridge area.
I don't know whether this will make any appreciable difference, but I think it has to be of some help.

I need to fish an electrical line from the rear driver’s jump seat to the front monitor panel, does it appear behind the bathroom, frig and pantry I will have space available to do that and not snag anywhere?

director's. Have run several wires from under jump seat to control panel for battery manager control and Goal Zero. Remove the bathroom fan and put some needed insulation up there while it is dropped. The hardest thing is dropping wire down rear bathroom wall through the clutter. I put a small weight on the wires and got it done.
