04 Interstate Veggie Oil Conversion

Hey has anyone here run their rig on veggie oil? I’ve run my 1980’s Mercedes W123 engines on it and my ‘82 VW Vanagon (with Jetta engine) and I was doing a mix of diesel and veg - 20/80 in summer and 80/20 in winter. I’d BJ love to hear your experiences!

From my understanding, the newer diesels do not respond that well with veggie oil.
Older ones did pretty darn well I hear- but I have heard more poor results with newer ones.

For newer ones I'm pretty sure there are all kinds of warnings against biodiesel above 20%, and even 20% is something that should only be used in an emergency. Maximum approved biodiesel content for regular use is no more than 5%.

Here's a link to what appears to be an official Mercedes brochure on the topic, although it's not on an official Mercedes site: http://www.sprinter-rv.com/wp-conten...iesel_rev5.pdf
