When my dad's good I sometimes let him sleep in the bed.

We have a standard poodle and a labradoodle-muttly. In our '70 Overlander we cleared off one of the single beds and put the dog beds there. The dogs think they hit the gold rush of luck and just love it. They have room under the table as one usually gets a 'favorite' bed and the other likes sleeping on our feet while we eat/read/play.

Ours sleep in the front. We put a full size fitted sheet on the dinette and there is enough room for all 4 of us to watch a movie but just big enough for the two of them to sleep on. Tanner (the big one) is a bed hog, poor Chelsea has to curl up in the corrner most of the time.

Hey everyone... great thread on doggies. We travel with Faith our 8 year old golden retriever who is 75 pounds. When we drive she gets the back seat of our truck and when sleeping she has a dog bed we put on the floor of the AS near the couch. All of us are new to Airstream traveling and Faith is a bit nervous in the truck and in the stream. She is slowly getting use to our travels. Any suggestions? I know golden's are sensitive, at least ours is to new noises. Thanks.

They (Great Dane & Blue Heeler) sleep between the living room(gaucho) bed and the bedroom bed(gaucho). We throw their beds where ever we can......Found the great dane with his bum next to the heater vent this morning (21 degrees).....

Our springers sleep on the goucho by the front window. They decided they own it.

Sophie likes to sleep between the twin beds, under the dinette table and, of course, on the couch.

Well, I seem to be one of the few people here who does not let my dogs on the furniture........I have two 80lb plus golden retrievers who are very happy on their dog beds. I have always wondered what you folks do when your dogs are wet and muddy??????? When I am camping, mine find every puddle, stream and lake, and I can't imagine this mess on my beds, couch, etc.

In my 17 footer, the two beds fit very well under the front dinette. (Actually, when I restored the trailer, I didn't put the curbside bench back in, so that I would have more flexibility. At night, when the dog beds go in, the stools go out.)

In my 26 footer, the beds fit between the rear twins, and I have a fluffy comforter that I throw on top of the dog beds.

Our Weimaraner sleeps in her Kennel which we place inside the door between the couch area (Child one sleeps there) and the dinette (child two sleeps there). Minna is happy in her kennel, and it is the same one she sleeps in when at home.

One of my goldens gets stressed out too. Prozac helps but you need a doggy psychiatrist for that. If your pooch doesn't have her own shrink I would suggest a Thunder Shirt. It is designed for dogs with thunder phobia and works wonders to settle them down. Along the same principal of swaddling a baby. They are about $30 online.

Unfortunately right now my beloved pooch is sleeping in heaven. When we find a new little one, he/she will sleep with us on the bed (if he/she wants too) or a bed that we will have under the dinette. To all those with pooches, treasure them, as I am sure that you do. And who really cares where they sleep, as long as everyone is happy. Susan

The German Shepherd sleeps on the floor between the bed and front bulkhead. I don't know how she squeezes her 70 lbs in there. The lab sleeps on the floor on the opposite side but when is is really cold they both wedge in at the foot of the bed where the furnace duct is.

People get the furniture and the dogs get the floor.
