You can't see me. I blend right in. I have no idea who ate the chicken out of your sandwich. It must have been Daisy.

Now I'm not a cat person, but that is one really beautiful animal!

And if you're talking about my Daisy, very likely guilty as charged :-)

I love cats, and that one has some beautiful markings. I have never seen one like that. What is the breed?

Well, That is a bit of a tale, but I'll give you the short version. He came from a local humane society. He was advertised as a Siamese mix. He is 4 months old in the above picture. As he grew, his markings got more distinct. He is now 13 months old and the tans and browns are much darker and more distinct. Some time around when the picture was taken, I decided to do some research and found that he is undoubtedly a pure bred Snow Marble Bengal Cat. He has all the physical and personality traits. He has a pattern variation in his coat that would disqualify him from showing. I'm guessing that is why is was in the shelter. He is very intelligent and social and really a lot of fun to have around.

If anyone is interested, I'll find a picture of what he looks like now.

Yes, post a picture!
I would love to see him now.
It is a breed I've never heard of.
It is a shame that someone tossed him out because he was not show worthy.

At least the cat ended up in a shelter rather than a garbage can. Show animals are often more than rejected if not perfect.

I know you guys can't wait, so here's a more up to date picture. I went to all the trouble of posing in the same place. I know, I know, I'm cool.

I guess a Bengal is a recognizable breed.
Snow Marble describes his color/markings?
He is awesome.

Copied from Wikipedia :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bengal_(cat)

The Bengal is a hybrid breed of domestic cat. Bengals result from crossing a domestic feline with an Asian leopard cat (ALC), Prionailurus bengalensis bengalensis.
The Bengal cat has a desirable "wild" appearance with large spots, rosettes, and a light/white belly, and a body structure reminiscent of the ALC.[1] The Bengal possesses a gentle domestic cat temperament, if separated by at least four generations from the original crossing between a domestic feline and an ALC.
The name "Bengal cat" was derived from the taxonomic name of the Asian leopard cat (P. b. bengalensis), and not from the more distantly related Bengal tiger.

The Bengal cat is usually either classed as brown-spotted or snow-spotted (although there are more colours, brown and snow are the only colours of Bengal that the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (UK) recognize). Within brown Bengals, there are either marble or spotted markings. Included in the spotted variation is rosetted, which consists of a spot with a dark line surrounding it. Snow Bengals are also either marble or spotted, but are also divided into blue-eyed or Any Other Colour eyes.

Wikipedia goes on to explain the history if anyone is interested.

For clarification, Kimba has light blue eyes although it is not obvious from the photos.

Another factor that makes me think he is a Bengal Cat is the fact that there is a Bengal Cat breeder in Boulder, and he came From the Boulder Valley Humane Society.

This is a picture of a purebred Snow Marble Bengal Cat

Daisy and Kimba get all the attention, but that's fine with me. I prefer to maintain a low profile.
