Vote for Deafanie on Easter :-)

Our pup is in the local newspaper's beauty contest.. I entered her to cheer up Gary after his falling -off -the -roof -in -a -blizzard accident where he crushed a foot... this has been a loooong winter ;-(

This is the first round of judging.. she is number 53.

http://www.e-rockford.com/petstar/vote.php?pnum=3

She was in FIVE homes before a year old, then two Jack Russell rescues, now she's been safely here with us for THREE YEARS.. Gary still owes her a McD's third anniversary hamburger.. he took his swan dive off the roof before we could take her to the drive-through :-(

He's on the mend, we'll be taking her to Mickey-D's soon, but right now she needs a first-round vote :-) Please help!

It appears you have to PAY to vote? What sort of contest is that?

It's a fundraiser for education.. but I thought they were going to do one vote for free. But I don't see that, execpt for in the actual hard copy newspaper. :-(

So if you donate five bucks she gets five votes.

moola required

Votes are $1 each starting at a minimum of $5 and then
the money collected goes to the newspaper education fund.
They give newspapers to schools, homeless shelters, etc.

I thought that one vote could be free each day, but it turns
out that online voters have to vote a minimum of 5.00 for
the five votes. And it takes a credit card.

I have certainly spent five bucks on WORSE things before..
more than once :-)

update

We CAN vote for free one time a day, but it has to be a paper ballot.

I have the ballots but need names and addresses to fill in on them.. no charge for these.. and I have already left enough of an online donation :-)

If you will, please PM me your name and address or email it to me. I promise I won't do anything else with it.

This is just the first round of voting, if she does well and makes the cut Iw ill use the names again in the NEXT round.

Thanks in advance!

No, you don't have to pay anything, that's only for online and for the education fund...you can p.m. me your address and name and I will fill in a local free paper ballot.

I will re-use the names if she makes this first cut.. time's a'wastin" :-)

People, HELP!

I am HOPPY HOPPY HOPPY

I HAVE to brag!

I have been refusing to let people leave my antique shop UNTIL they fill out a newspaper ballot but it looks like my terrorizing them all is paying off.. the newspaper emailed and she is THIRD out of 218.. and the first cut will keep the first 109 i the contest for the next round.

So unless something HORRIBLE happens, Dephne will move on to the second round, and voting for this round stops next Friday.

PLEASE help us.. we only need names and addresses to put on paper ballots!!

Tyanks to those of you who HAVE answered..

she's doing pretty darn good for a pound puppy no one wanted.. FIVE homes before a year old and two Jack Russell rescues!!
