Twin Bed Hopping

For our first one night adventure in the Airstream, my husband and I slept in the twin beds in the center. The front gaucho area's curtains are being refurbished (have to replace some broken connectors) and we didn't want to be blinded in the morning.

The poor pups were confused as we typically sleep in the same bed. SOOOO - they jumped from bed to bed. Mind you, it's not one dog, it's three dogs. One Chihuahua Pekinese mix, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Chihuahua.

It was one long night.

I guess I should be glad my six month old Westie has not learned to jump yet. :-)

At least you have small dogs. My 80 pounder has to sleep with one of us and will sometimes trade beds in the middle of the night. You definitely know when she gets in the bed with you! LOL

I don't think they are concerned with our comfort by any means. Mine had me pinned in and I couldn't move.......cover hogs.

Fado....the "smooch pooch", has no consideration for anyone's comfort but his own.

They just expect you to like being in a pack sleeping pile as much as they do.

We have twins because we're a bit too big for a double, and twin or double was all the trailers in our price/age range had to choose from. It works out well, because my partner moves as much in his sleep as he does when he's awake. Because he's always moving, the dogs always want to sleep on...er... with me.

This thread made me laugh. My wife wasn't going to settle for anything but a queen - this is just another good reason to have one! Before we had the trailer (which has a separate bedroom we can keep the cat out of at night - he's banished from the bedroom at home at night, too), it wasn't unusual to wake up and find the cat sleeping under the covers, between us.
