The Orvis, LL Bean, Pottery Barn Review Thread

Let’s drop all our reviews here of the big name pet goods for home.

We have:

Orvis waterproof bed covering. We have it more for our cat, dog not on bed. The kids yes, us no. It is nice and heavy and comfy. It is a pain to dry and takes an exception amount of time. Luckily it has been able to take the highest temps of the dryer, but still takes a lot of time and needs to be un-balled a time or two during the cycle of like 80min.

The Orvis tough chewdog bed This bed is money. We have had two for four dogs and 18 years. Ours are round and the National Parks Pendleton collab, which they don’t have at this time, but it’s the same cover fabric. The first puppy managed to chew a small hole in the round one. Orvis sent us a new cover and let us keep the other too. The “new” cover is hole free. The “old” cover hole never got any bigger and remained serviceable.

We Need: Sofa Covers. I have no idea why we are now allowing our new puppy on the furniture; it’s a first and I don’t think it is going to get reversed. We even have a less than year old new leather chair and sofa and then our new FC! So we need some non slip throws and covers. Which should we choose the LL Bean or Orvis or something else?

Alright so what all do you folks have and what are you considering? Let’s help the collective find the right choices and keep it all in one place instead of a new thread for every question when it comes to the “big dog” home and pet suppliers.
