I found these really cool pet id's yesterday online and had to order a couple them. I haven't received them yet, but I wanted to share the information with all of you. Hopefully I"ll get these in a few days and I'll post a pic or two once I received them.

I like it. It's a good complement to a microchip, so that someone can quickly reach you without having to a) have a chip reader and b) go through the registry of the chip provider for your contact info.

I wouldn't use it INSTEAD of a microchip, though, since tags can come off (on their own, or at the hands of sleazy people.)

I agree. Also, because of the 'sleazy people' factor, I only put my contact information and my vets info on tags. I don't put the dog's name on tags, because if some sleaze-ball does steal them, not knowing the name will make it just that bit more difficult for them to control them.

I bought them and think its a pretty good tag. Not to many sleazy people would want our pooches.

I use a tag with my cell phone number and it goes on her collar every time we head out. In fact, I keep it in the AS.

Mine are chipped with a tag with cell number, home number and name that is all, tag stays on 24/7. As far as the name of the dog on the tag if a person will steal a dog not knowing the dogs name is no deterrent at least that is how I feel.

I have Schnauzers who will pickup a scent and forget you are alive, the best command I have taught them is come, which means come now not later and only used in an emergency. Taught them using a 30 foot leash on each and I work it every time I walk them. I use "lets go" or "side" for non emergency commands. Next one to teach is drop.

My dog is also Micro chipped with all of our important infromation. I just like the personal touch you can give these tags. Now I wonder when traveling would this tag work for identification perpose for traveling back and forth from Canada. We travel with his papers, I just wonder if these would be ok?

Plus this company gives you a free magnet.

I was thinking about the magnet and where I could attach it to my airstream. The stove top, the hitch, the propane tank, what is the vent hood made out of? The TV bracket.

We have used Boomerang Tags for years. Their tags are well done, colorful, easy to read, and last forever. The only times we've had to replace them is when we changed styles or moved. I've had them for the dogs, and even for the llama's halters. The current style both my dogs have are the 'collar tags', which do not hang, they slide onto their nylon collars. I quit using the dangling tags when one dog caught hers in the floor heater vent in the house, and greeted me at the door with the entire vent hanging off her collar. Then the other dog caught his dangling tag on a blanket, got himself all wrapped up trying to get out, and strained his back. After that I switched to breakaway collars and slide on tags (and of course they are both chipped). It's ridiculous how much trouble my dogs seem to get into!

The Boomerrang tags are very good and well made. We have the collar kind for our pooch. I like the ones from www.petidforme.com/105 because it has the pic of the dog on it and the look alike state drivers licenses is pretty kool as well.

My better half informed me the ones I ordered came in today. I'll post pics later.

I guess that would be right with our trailers being made of Aluminum and the new ones coming with stainless appliances.

Here is our old man with his new tag. I'm finally able to post some pics of the new pet id I received from www.petidforme.com/105. The quality of the laminate and how they are put together is really good. I think the best part of it all is how quite it is. With the metal tags when the dog walks or scratches you always hear them jingling, not with this one.
