Quick update!
She is ABSOLUTELY everything we hoped for.
Sweet, loving, playful, potty trained, and pretty calm.
A few things we are not used to....
She is a very sound driven(Imagine that, with those ears!), and is proving to be very nervous outside the house. Yesterday, I was walking her before dinner and a kid on a skateboard was across the street. She was SO freaked out, I am glad I had her Martingale collar on or she would have been gone for sure. Something we are now aware of, and will have to work on.
She is insured, and part of us.
She is loving her new home, and Robyn is constantly glowing with her presence!
Tomorrow is first vet visit. She will have her stitches removed from the Spey, and a full checkup, Rabies and Bordatella.

So, we are like over 2 months into life with Latte, and it is good!
The puppy food is doing its job and she swelled from 38lb to about 52lb currently.
She is developing into quite the character.
No shoe goes unstolen!
She is also quite the guard dog, and has a pretty impressive bark on her when she hears noises, or such... she has stepped into Moose's shoes on that one!
Her skittishness has all but disappeared with a stable home, and she is obeying commands now. Sits most of the time and demand, and will shake, and now is finally catching treats thrown to her... that was quite the giggle to have them bounce off her head as she looked all quizzical!
We are now pretty sure we know WHAT she is...
A Red Kelpie, which is a Australian Cattle Herding breed... but there may well be something else in there too.. There is a variation of that called a Red and White Kelpie, which fits her to a T!
This is an example pic I found online..
The BEST news is that her and Cole have settled in... she just LOVES him,
They play nicely and even snuggle at night now!

Update time!
Latte continues to endear.
Very VERY loving dog.
She is about fully grown, at 22 months.
Now 53lb, and about 23" to the shoulder.
She is quite the clown, and always bouncing about.
Still very sharp and barks at any unusual sounds, and she is normally right!
We also have an idea of what she really is.... or at least part...
Pharaoh Hound!
Someone said it in the early days, and I made a mental note, but its so rare I kinda dismissed it...
I revisited the breed site after someone else said it and BOOM, there was the tell....
The Pharaoh Hound's ears are very large and point upward when alert. They usually come in tan or chestnut colors. A white tail-tip is admired. Most commonly seen is any solid white spot on their neck, back, or shoulders.

Moose
You can see that they are wondering what the heck is on their head. Great picture, though!
Mine hold real still for only a few minutes, then shake the stuff off.
