Meet Oliver

As many of you know, we lost our dear dog Thunder on Halloween. We miss him so much and last week there was some "divine intervention" that occurred.

I was contacted about a little fella that needed a good "forever home". He had been adopted out and the people were not able to keep him after all. We drove to Texas this past weekend and adopted him. Now there is a dog in the house again......a happy and healthy puppy named Oliver.

He is very gentle and quite the gentleman! He has a lot of puppy in him and runs and plays. When he tires out, he is just happy to be with his people and cuddle. We love him very much!

He loves to ride in the car and will go out on Airstream trips starting next spring. I just couldn't resist sharing him with all of you.....a proud papa, I am!!

Awwww - great looking addition to the family. Losing a fur-kid is tough but that's life. Being able to open your heart again to another one in need of a loving home is a wonderful thing to do, and a testament to how much you loved your former friend.

Thanks for sharing the pic. It sounds like you have a great time ahead of you.

Barry

Thanks Barry! He is quite the character...very curious. He is exploring his new home today and approaches each room with guarded caution. Then he dives in and checks everything out.

I am a serious dog lover and am so happy to have this little critter in the house....it just wasn't complete without him

Thanks Shari!

I most definitely was missing the kisses from the dog. This little fella wiggles from one end to the other and he even found the sock I have been missing for a long time....brought it right to me. It's so much fun having a puppy in the house! I bet Dottie is quite the bundle of energy these days too?

By the way, we recently added this monster to our family. She is six months old and full of it!

He does have some monster sized feet and, by all appearances, will be a beautiful dog when he is an adult.

I am going to introduce him to the Airstream this weekend and he can spend the winter helping do projects on it. I want him to be used to it by next spring so he can go camping a lot next summer.

Steve,

Sophie sends Oliver a big doggie welcome. Your heart is huge, and Oliver will be a great (big!) pal for you.

Best wishes to all of you

Such a sweet baby! Congratulations!

He looks like a Springer Spaniel? We had a Brittney for 13 years, the most wonderful companion.

Will look for you on the road. Maggie is a vicarious dog owner these days, carries dog biscuits to share with sweet doggies she meets along the way.

Yes...he is a Springer and I can't wait to see what he pounces on the first time. He is getting more used to the house and is bounding up and down the stairs with ease now. He got more new toys last night and they are a world of wonder for him. He is such a happy go lucky little fella

Sounds like we're on the same track here...maybe Oliver & Dotti's first outings will be together! We're shooting for the May Maintenance Rally...
