Cats or Dogs?
Are you a dog lover, or a cat lover?
And since many of you likely have the best of both worlds, if you had to choose between one or the other, which would it be?
Cheers.

Cats. 2 of them. They keep each other happy, in most cases.
Love dogs, too, but they're 900 times more work to keep than cats.

both! Old Wally, Weimaraner; Young Moose, German Shorthair Pointer; 3 cats-old Pepper, mostly blind but beautiful shorthair and two young barn cats, litter mates, but no one has told them yet that they are supposed to live in the barn! How to choose: a question too much like "Sophie's Choice!" Don't ask me ~G

Love my cat, husband doesn't. Love our dog, she loves to travel in the trailer with us. That's when she is not pointing at birds and squirrels.

Two cats, one found 19 years ago Sept 19 as an abandoned kitten while we were out camping/fishing at a remote campground in the Rockies during a feak early blizzard. Frozen to the floor of the women's outhouse but noticed the ice was melted around her nose. Picked her up, fed her some pickle and cheese sandwich and a bit of hot chocolate, put her around my neck under my hood and fished the rest of the day and she's been my buddy ever since. The other is 10 years old, a rescue from the gas chamber at the pound. Would love a dog as well but both work and not fair to leave a dog at home alone so much. Cats sleep and don't need attention till we get home. When we retire we'll go rescue a dog from the pound.

Dogs, 3 of them. One older dog (13 years) that is camera shy (Bandit). Gracie and Smokie are both 2 and are best buds.

cats, definitely. I love some dogs, but, yes, they need too much care--we can leave Rudy and Fern with a food/water supply and someone to check them every few days with not a worry.
we were joking that now that we have the Safari we have to get a tiny yapping dog as I remember when Bob was selling Airstreams it seemed everyone who owned one had a tiny dog.
does anyone take their cats along with them when traveling?

Dogs!
You don't need a yappy little dog to take camping. My 100 pound German Shepherd loves to go. In fact, he gets mad if he gets left at home!

Dogs all the way!
We have 2 goldens and a beagel that love to go camping. Our cat stays at home to watch aquarium (sorry fish, but no camping for you ).
There's nothing like walking your dog through a state or national park and have all of the other campers oohing and aahing over them. Besides cats are kind of anti-social

Dog, without question. Have a Lab/Border Collie mix. Security system, companion that can run or go on a bike ride, no cat litter all over, all ways greets me when I get home, social. Yes I do agree the dog is more maintenance but the added benefit is worthwhile, kinda like the reason I have an Airstream, I thinks it's the better option.

Definately Dogs. Two of them. A Parson's Jack Russell Terrier, and a Carin Terrier. They don't mind being at home while we're at work, and they just have soooo much love waiting for you when you get home. Oh, they don't shed. Yuck!

Well.....
We are animal people currently we have a cat...Ginger lets us live in HER house and work on HER Airstream We have had dogs in the past and I am sure we will have more in the future. We prefer pound pets, best dog I ever had was a long haired daschund/border collie cross...

Furries
Cats and dogs. Our kitty -FIN- was rescued off the interstate when he was a kitten, he thinks he is a dog. Our JRT -CHOPPER- is our constant travel companion, his favorite park is Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The German Shepherd -Z- is the most gentle and loving four legged friend I have ever had, his father was a police dog. Our fourth is a mutley named Pickle....he thinks he is a cat. Likes to watch things from a distance and act uninterested.
Which ever, cats or dogs, couldn't live without 'em!
Peace- Holly

8 pd peek a poo who is 5 years old and a 15 year old flame point siameese (spelling?)
Cookie (peek a poo) loves the airstream and gathers her toys when she sees it pull into the driveway.
Baby, the cat is not a good traveler.

"It's only half a life without a dog..."
That's a great song by the Red Clay Ramblers "...Got my baby got my wife, but its only half a life without a dog.." You can hear a sample on the link. We have two rescue dogs--lab mix and brittany mix--we saved them from the shelter and they saved us from normal, quiet lives...
