Campgrounds & RV Parks that have fenced in dog runs list

I made this list that currently has over 200 campgrounds & RV parks in it, listed by state, and wanted to share it with everyone. Each campground & park has a completely fenced in area for dogs to be off leash.

We love to take road trips with our dogs & our oldest will not do her "business" on leash, so that's what sparked me making this directory. We're contemplating purchasing an Airstream sometime in the next several years, but in the meantime plan to stay at some of the campgrounds on the list.

I hope some of you find it useful!

We take our dogs on most of our trips and we are always happy to find a dog run at a campground. You can add these to your list:

Meteor Crater RV Park - Meteor Crater, AZ (they have two)
USA RV Park - Gallup, NM
Durango KOA - Durango, CO

Fenced in dog park

James Island County Park Campground has a great fenced in dog park with access to a lake. It is near Charleston, SC and Folly Beach, which is also dog friendly at certain times of the day and off season.

Thanks so much! I'll add those.

I do have that one on the list already, but thanks for suggesting it. It looks like a great place!

I'm frequently disappointed by the dog runs at campgrounds. Frequently they are VERY small (not much bigger than a kennel run) and not particularly clean. Once in a while we find a good one, but usually I avoid them. The KOA a few miles from my home has a nice big one, but that doesn't do me much good!

Nonetheless, it's good to see your list- thanks!

You may add the KOA in Bloomfield, NM to your list, and the FAMCAMP at Kirtland AFB, NM.

We were just up at Jackson Ranchria for the Northern California Airstreem Rally and they have two fenced in dog runs. One for the 'good' dogs and a second one if a dog gets too agressive.

7 Feathers in Canyonville, OR has excellent dog parks

This fabulous RV park is off of I-5 between Medford and Eugene. It is owned by the casino and they have spared nothing to make this RV park inviting, including the Bark Parks.

Also, we have found that KOA's have been mandated to provide Bark Parks and are encouraged to have exercise obstacles in the dog parks as well. We did find a few KOA's in our 3 month, 21 state tour this summer who have not upgraded to provide these yet so it is good to check ahead of time.

We would pick a fenced dog park over full hookups if we had to choose. Thank you for making this list.

Petoskey KOA in Petoskey Michigan has a nice pet area that is fenced in. It has tunnels, elevated walkways, and several other structures for the dogs to play in. It is very clean as is the entire campground. The campground is only about 5-8 miles from Harbor Springs and it is a very beautiful area.

I just wanted to post an update because I've revamped my site, so the link I originally posted will not work anymore.

You can now find the list here. I hope some of you find it useful!
