Same here, I didn't see this until today. To Bandit's and Sammy's owners, I'm so sorry. You have my sympathy. There are few things more difficult than losing such good K9 friends.

My sympathy for your loss. I never forget my friends, and sometimes I still hear them around the house. He was surely cute!

My heart goes out to you.
Bandit looked like a happy dog. I know I would have been his friend.
I trust that you will spoil the other two dogs, so as to make up for their loss, of their friend Bandit.

I feel the sorrow every time I read a thread like this. I've lost several pets over my time as well. What gives me the strength to carry on is the future love a pound rescued dog will have for me.
Rest in peace Bandit and Sammy

Richard and Jan,
I saw your post when you lost Bandit and had such a hard time putting words together. I knew that we would be losing Thunder very soon too. Please know that my sympathies are with you and I sure hope that Bandit and Thunder have met up and are romping around in heaven.

Richard and Jan, we both feel so terrible about your loss of Bandit. We know the feeling all too well, having lost our two canine soulmates a couple of years ago. For a doggie that you love, think of it this way: She will always be with you, whether physically present or not.

Believe it or Not
I have been wondering if this post is just too WIERD but make of it what you will.
We had a rambuncious white bull terrier that we adopted named Puck. He was a dead ringer for Spuds McKenzie. For one reason or another we had to find another home for Puck a year or so later. I felt real guilty. Even though people would cross the street when they saw Puck coming (either to get further away or up close and personal) he was a creme puff. He could usually be found asleep on the couch. If you were a burgler he might open up an eye and go back to sleep.
After moving to NM from NY years later my wife said Puck came to our front door, my wife let him in, and he went directly to his customary position on the couch. When my wife looked again he was gone. My wife called the new owners who said Puck just died of natural causes,
My wife and I believe Puck was just saying thank you and everything is OK.
