Would you guys mind checking my numbers?
Thanks in advance. Looks like front axle went down about 60#. Trailer is completely level with this setup and front height is the same distance. Is the -60# worth fooling around with more adjustments?
Vehicle unhitched.
Steer: 2600
Drive: 2420
With weight distribution
Steer: 2540
Drive: 2940
Trailer axle: 4780

Who will be sitting in the front seat on what day? Who will be in the rear seat on which day? Will you have (or not have) a generator in back on this or that trip?
Nobody can ever answer all those questions. There is enough change in weight front to back of the TV from almost any of them to be greater than your 60Lb. Ideally you would like a bit more on front. It's not a perfect world.
That all assumes that things are roughly loaded as they would be for a typical trip. If everything is empty (tanks, toys, food, luggage, passengers ...) you may want to re-check things with a normal load. It also assumes that all the numbers are ok for your truck and trailer.

What are you towing with? Did you record trailer weights?
The number look very good.

Mercedes GLE350. GAWR Front is 3086 and Rear is 3527. Looks like I'm good in that respect.

Probably, ok. BUT... Without knowing the specs of both vehicles, any answer you get will be a guess.
Your tow vehicle's owners manual is your best source of information. Do what it says.
My owners manual says (paraphrased) to adjust the tension on the WD until the height of the fender, measured over the center of the front wheel, returns to the unloaded height.
I believe it would be better to add weight to the front axle than to take any away. In other words, do not be lighter on the front. Being lighter might affect steering traction, especially in curves when there are wet/slick conditions.

To a great extent the "fender height" measurements are a way to get around going over to the scale to check things out. I would go with properly done axle weights over tape measure fender checks.
Indeed, everything (trailer included) needs to be reasonably level. I find you can check that better by eye on a large rig than with a tape. You are as much looking for a middle high / middle low at the trailer to TV junction as anything else.

That's about as short and sweet a summary, as one can get about weight distribution hitches, especially the "reasonably level" data point!

Bob and Peter are correct, weighing is required to know that the loads are within specifications for each vehicle. In my prior post I did not mean to imply weighing is not needed. Since the OP posted the numbers, we know that the rig was weighed.
I suggest that anyone should weigh their vehicles more than once, with both vehicles loaded ready to camp, until they are familiar with the "normal" average weights of their rig.
We all also know that it is not practical to weigh every time we tow. Measuring fender height is a quick check that can be done every time.

One *could* buy a TV that reads out the front back level when the trailer is plugged in
(Yes there is *far* to much nutty stuff on some of these trucks)

Hi
Make sure you load up both the truck and the trailer as you would for a trip. Yes it's a pain to do ....sorry about that. My guess is that we have at least 1500 pounds of "stuff" (including passengers) that was not in the empty trailer or TV when we are in full travel mode.
