Where to buy this hitch part

I lost one of the torsion bars for the hitch on my 73 AS. Does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement. I can't find one with the cupped end.
Thanks

If that's the old style Reese Dual Cam bar, I have two of them. After this storm passes I'll go out to the shed and look.

Of course, we are nowhere near you.

Good news and bad news - I believe it is the old style Reese Dual Cam, so you can search for it using that name.

Bad news is that mine are 30".

Good Luck.

And - welcome to the Forums!

A helpful hint about "disappearing" posts: If you click the "new posts" button when you are browsing the Forum, you will not see your original post until someone posts to it. When you do your original post, it is not "new" to you anymore.

Happy browsing.

I suggest etrailor.com. I just ordered a part from there, and the reviews are very favorable. The explanatory materials on their website are outstanding.

Curious if anyone would recommend replacing torsion bars in matched pairs versus replacing the lost one. Wondering if a symmetry in tension left to right is necessary for proper function?

Excellent point. The 2 bars can be slightly different due the uneven ware. A big difference can cause handling issues. I have noticed strange bouncing and found out that one side had an extra link adjusted.

Thanks for all the info, it's a big help. The engineering department felt there wouldn't be enough difference to create a problem. I'll have the guys in our shop run a check on the tension and compare the two.
