And Kuat takes the lead! Followed by Hollywood and then 1Up and Thule are tied.

I'm going to have to resume my research when we get back, leaving in 2 days for almost 4 weeks...sadly, without our bikes. When we get back, I'll be asking about bikes for me. I love my 1980's Trek roadbike but I'm thinking about something with a big ol' tractor seat.

Thank you everyone.

Do the bikes obstruct the front headlights for those that carry bikes on the front of their truck?

The bikes don’t seem to dim the headlights.
The lights shine right through the wheel spokes.

Very little, but if I have to drive in bad weather or after dark, I turn on my fog/driving lights. They set low to the road and argument the headlights. Works well for me.

Fog lights automatically always on when low beam headlights are on-

Not on my 2006 they didn't, but, yes they do on my new 2017 Ford F250. Picked up the 2017 a week ago today.

The fog lights came on with low beam headlights on every vehicle I ever had- even if I installed them myself- if the fog light switch is as turned on.
The fog lights automatically go off when high beams are turned on and back on when low beams are turned on-
It was that way on my 1987 Mazda B200, 1995 Nissan King Cab, 1997 Nissan King Cab, 1999 Nissan Pathfinder, and 2007 Toyota Tundra.

Seem GM decided that it's customer thought that it was too expensive for that option or they didn't need it.

Does anyone have Pedego bikes that are heavier than regular ones? We are thinking about getting 2 of them, but unsure how to transport them. We do not want to mount on rear of Airstream due to the weight imbalance it creates. We have a Tundra with crew cab, so somewhat shorter bed. Have heard of a front of vehicle rack---anyone with experience on this? Could mount them in different places. We have a 23D. Probably impossible to consider putting one inside?

Yesterday I installed this Draw-Tite hitch to the front of my new 2017 Ford F250 Super Duty. Did the install myself and it took about 1 hour.

Nice. I have a front receiver on my Ram which is where the bikes ride on a Swagman bike rack.

Still have access to truck bed. 8' 10" tall, without bikes the two racks slide up behind the rear window out of the way.

Just thought I'd report back (better late than never). We went with a Rockymounts Monorail with a 2" receiver . A bike shop guy recommended it and it looked comparable to the Thule and Yakimas we were considering but about $100 less. So. Then we went on a 6000 mile trip. Well, Popeye drove around with it for awhile first. Anyway, the first day, I'm like "Honey, is it supposed to wobble like that?" It turns out the lock washer kept coming loose! We were stopping every hour to tighten it! Popeye took the seats off and it wobbled a lot less (who knew?) but we still needed a lock washer. We called Rockymounts and they said they would overnight one to us. But then some kind man at a little hardware store in some little town had one that he gave to us and we didn't have any more trouble with it. Rockymounts did get a new one to us at our courtesy park in MS but we didn't need it.

After we got home, Popeye got an email about a recall. They were worried about a weld on the hitch. They sent us a replacement and Popeye swapped it out but he couldn't see any weld cracks or anything on the original one.

So overall, we're happy with it. I thought the bikes in front would be a distraction but they really are not.

I'd like to get a 1up or Kuat Sherpa two bike rack that I could use above the propane tanks and then use it on the back of our Cayenne SUV or my GMC when unhooked. I'm wondering if it would contact the SUV, especially when towing.

Anyone have any experience with this?

First, I must apologize for my previous post on this issue. I must have been drinking when I wrote that. Oh, wait, I don't drink. I'm just embarrassed.

To the issue.
Rocky Mounts turned out to be the perfect carrier for us. I installed it forward of our tow vehicle on a 2 inch receiver because YouTube has far too many fail videos of bikes and their racks snapping off the rear of a TT and getting run over by a following vehicle. Go ahead, dial one up. You'll never follow another trailer with bikes mounted on the rear.

The problem I had was self inflicted. If you tow with a rack in front of the grill, pop the seats off the bike and stow them. You can't imagine how much wind those seats will capture and toss the bikes erratically. Since removing the seats we have traveled thousands and thousands of miles from the east coast, through the Appalachian Mountains, the Rockies and throughout Texas without issue. Twenty seven weeks in one year.

It is their monorail platform, two bike carrier (optional 3). It was far less expensive than Thule or Yakima with a lifetime warranty (tested), weighs 39 pounds yet at the time of purchase, out-carried both Thule or Yakima at 60 pounds each bike.

Hope this may help.

Kuat is a great rack. They have several models. Go with the one with less plastic for e bikes which run heavier.

New owner of a 2018 Sport 16. Wanted to mount a rack on rear of trailer but haven't found any options except for custom welding a receiver hitch. Anyone had experience with this receiver adapter for a trailer?

https://www.etrailer.com/RV-and-Camp...on/CC-275.html

Thanks far all the above ideas.
