Trailer hitting bottom

I have a 2019 22 ft sport. when the trailer is empty and setting flat the black water out let is 7.5 in off of ground. Has any one used the lift kit? Does it void warranty? Does the trailer tow the same? Towing wit 2500 2018 ram 4x4

I thought about using a lift kit for my trailer but I decided against it because it would not tow the same if I had it installed. If you drive accordingly you should not be a problem

I put a lift kit on my Classic 30 slideout and I couldn't tell any difference in towing. It only moves the CG up 3" which seems inconsequential.

That said, where is your black tank drain? If near wheels probably no problem, if near rear bumper may be a problem.

I’ve thought about putting a lift kit on because I had a situation where I had to build up a ramp to get into a place one time. But I had more of a problem with the bumper. You will find that will be your biggest issue before the outlet. The other thing I do not understand is why they don’t put flaps on the wheels because the outlets can get beat up with stones.

Last summer I had a 2.75" Dexter lift kit installed on my 27' International. There's no observable difference in handling, and I can now get into boondocking campsites where previously I had to lay down ramps or blocks to bridge dips without dragging the bumper.

In short, in my experience it's been a great upgrade. (I should mention that I also upgraded from 15" to 16" wheels, so that got me a bit more ground clearance.)

I installed the 3" Dexter lift last fall and so far, no downside at all. Only about 100 towed miles, so far, but will add 1200 more next week. I can now back into my driveway without having to use boards at the curb, less worry at fuel/food stops, looks better with TV. Search Lift Kit on this site to find a ton of related information. Someone just recently posted they verified it does not impact warranty.

I bought mine from Etrailer... I then had a local shop install the kit because on the 30 foot it’s a real pain in the butt due to tight spaces between the frame and holding tanks.

They ended up welding tabs onto the nuts so that they could tighten them because they couldn’t get tools into the cramped space inside the bracket. But that’s on a 30 foot…

For for what it is worth many have done the install themselves [emoji4]

I installed the 3” lift kit on our 13 31’ Classic....wh have over 20,000 miles on them..coast to coast....last fall we went to Nova Scotia..7200 miles...and it pulls the same.. no difference..except it doesn’t drag the bottom...it made no difference in towing...

22’ Sport here too. Had the lift installed by the dealer before delivery. The extra clearance is worth it

We've been looking to purchase a new or late model 23CB. We also have an incline coming into our driveway coming off the street. This discussion has brought up several questions in my mind:
- For 23CB owners- what is the low point behind the rear axle (bumper, drain, etc?)
- What is the distance of the low point off of the ground and how far back from the rear axle?
- Will AS dealers add a lift kit (for a fee) before delivery?

The problem is that the Ram hitch receiver is 24.5 inches off the ground and the 22 hitch coupler is only 19 inches off the ground. You need a ball mount with a 7 to 8 inch drop to level the trailer which will raise the back end of the trailer.

E- trailer.....
