Towing a FC23FB with a Jeep GC.

Hi, I have a 09 Jeep GC with a 5.7 Hemi and thinking of buying a FC23FFB. Trying to figure out if I can tow it with my Jeep, a little concerned with the 785 lbs of tongue weight. What does the 10K equalizer do for you and will I need to hook up the electric brakes (did I read that FC23FB come with brakes)?

You won't have a problem with towing a 23' Airstream with a Jeep Grand Cherokee, but you will need a weight distribution hitch, set up correctly, and you will also need an electric brake operator.

All trailers above 3,000 pounds must have brakes per the law in most (if not all) states. And to be legal, they must be used. So yes, you will need to get your tow vehicle set up with a proper brake controller.

A Jeep GC will be fine towing a 23 foot Airstream, especially in your part of the country. If you start to spend time in the Rockies or out east in some of the more mountainous areas, you might find that the GC comes up a bit short for uphill towing, but it should not be unsafe so long as you have your brake controller and a weight distributing/anti sway hitch.
