Red face Tow Dolly Question

Hi Friends,

Still a newbie. I plan to tow a 2012 Prius V behind my 2020 Airstream/Mercedes Atlas. The Prius weights about 3300 lb. I have read a lot about the Roadmaster model 2050 Universal Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes. The price is good and the reviews are mostly positive.

I have a couple of crucial questions arising from my lack of experience. The description says I need an "electric brake controller sold separately." Great! But what does it do and how do I operate it? Do I need to have a hand-operated controller that I use simultaneously with the TV brakes? Or does it work automatically? How is it installed?

Second, the Roadmaser 2050 says it accepts wheels up to 16". The Prius V wheels are slightly larger (16.5 - 17"). Can I still use the Roadmaster dolly??

Any other comments about the Roadmaster 2050 would be welcome. Also, what kind of electric brake controller is the best? Tekonsha?

Thanks in advance for advice.
