Total weight on hitch with a 30 footer

Hello, some one have a recent airstream 30 feets and tell me what is the total weight on the hitch whit LP, FULL WATER AND THINGS IN THE TRAILER. On airstream site they tell 880 whit LP and nothing else. I have a 27 feet and want to change for a 30. I figure it will be maybe 1400! Is it ok?

Bonjour Tino, my 30' signature has 1275 lbs on the hitch and I tow with a Jeep. The hitch has had additional angle bars welded in at Can Am. Works ok but I did mash up a Hensley backing up a slope in the mud. I had no problems with my previous Reese Dual Cam. Jim

Tino, the reason for the 1275 lbs is full propane, 16" spare tire, 2 additional group 24 AGM batteries under the front settee, full water, and shoes, which, according to my wife, don't weigh anything. But that's the weigh we roll. Jim

Bonjour Tino, comment va le Jeep pour trainer la roulotte? Un GC avec V6 me parait un peu limite! Je suis sur le marché pour une 19' et je cherche un véhicule pour la trainer.

My 30' Classic, loaded and balanced properly has 850# to 950# on tongue, depending if the bikes are on the Arvika tongue rack. Total weight is approx. 8500# per scales on any given trip.

Thumbs up

Factory stated TW weights have been on the light side for years. Remember they are unloaded weight's.

As you see from the above posts, it really depends on how you camp, what you take with you and how it's loaded.

Our 25' Classic loaded for boondocking will hit 1200lbs pretty quickly, (using the Hensley Arrow hitch.)
