Tongue Weight

Anyone know about how much my tongue weight would be for a 1965 30’ sovereign?

By far the largest variable is you. What and how you load the trailer with supplies and water, and if you are going to tow with waste water on board. Vintage trailer reports the empty base weight at 4370 and tongue at 410. When you're loaded up, you will want tongue weight ideally at 15% of loaded trailer weight. If you get a excellent sway control hitch, you can drop that down to 12%, but you will want to be more cautious with speed to avoid stability issues.

With two tanks full and all the gear, I am carrying 1300 lbs so you can start somewhere around that as an initial guess. In the end, you will have to take the trailer to the scales to know for sure.
