Tongue lock, 2021 FB 22'
I'm looking to lock this trailer (2021 22' FB) when not attached to my TV. I've been looking at Proven Locks. Thoughts on if the Proven lock would work for this (the rear portion seems a bit high)? It seems as if they are popular.
I suppose I also need a lock to secure it when attached/towing, besides the supplied pin mechanism.
Any help is appreciated, Mark

Proven
I have 2020 22' Caravel, I love this lock. It is hard to put on the first couple of times but I feel so safe with this lock. You have to order the Proven lock that are made just for New model Airstreams that accommodate that hitch. They are completely different design. The thing I like best it also locks your tow chains. That way know one can just cross your tow chains and drive off with your Airstream. I hope this helps in your decision making process.

Thank you. I just sent them an email requesting the right version of the lock to purchase. I appreciate your response. Thank you, Mark

Get the Proven
I recently purchased the Proven lock for our new to us 2020 GT23FBT. A customer service rep called me to confirm the model and year of the AS before shipping. I think it is the best lock on the market. Being able to lock up the tow chains is a big plus.

I also use the Proven Industries lock on my 2020 International with the new Demco coupler. I like it very much.

Most of the locks, maybe all of them, are eye candy and will slow a thief for a few minutes at most. Proven Locks are very expensive for the small amount of protection they add.

The idea is to make your trailer less attractive to steal than the other guys.

I don’t think that’s the current Proven Industries lock. My understanding is that it has been redesigned. That said, any lock can be defeated by a determined thief. It’s a deterrent, not a guarantee against theft.

No lock is perfect, but the Proven Industries gives us peace of mind. We've used the model that fits our older design coupler for years with no complaints. We also have good insurance to cover us against the motivated thief.

Those videos are from "The Lock Picking Lawyer" and he is incredible. But, he knew where to drill that hole because he'd disassembled the puck before, and studied the internals. Thieves don't do that.
He also admitted with the puck lock, picking it would require laying on the ground while trying to see the keyway.
If you really want security there's a new puck with a dome shape. Drills slip off. It's $400. Another has a special magnetic tool to remove a plug, then a tamper proof key that unscrews left handed threads.

I also like the Proven - it has a way to lock up the chains too. No lock is 100% but just like putting a burglar alarm sign in my yard - I’m hoping the thieves move on to an easier target.

Hi
How does a trailer get stolen?
Somebody doesn't just wander by and suddenly on the spur of the moment decide to walk off with it. It's way to big and way to easy to spot for that sort of thing. They spot the trailer first and look at how it's secured. They come back with whatever they need to haul it away. (if they need chains, they bring chains ....).
How do they decide on which trailer to steal? You would have to ask them. They may like shiny aluminum hotdogs. They may want it to re-sell (just how is unclear). They may want it to run around in (again a bit unclear how). They may want it to park out way behind the barn to cook meth in. They may want it to park out back for folks to bunk in.
If they come equipped then none of this stuff is going to slow them down much, if at all. They probably only need to haul it a mile or two. At that point they pull over and saw off this or that. Then it's hooked on the ball and there's new plates on it. Off and away it goes.
Does it work *exactly* that way every time? Of course not. It happens pretty close to that, most of the time / in most places.
Got a camera? See that crappy van slowly going through the campground? Snap a few pictures of it .... Get a good shot of the license plate ....

Coupler trailer lock
I just purchased a Trimax 3.5" lock that fits my 30' classic. Pleased with it and there about $21.00 on Amazon. My main reason for getting one is not theft but to prevent accidental opening of the cover by anyone. I have a propride weight distribution and sway system attached to the trailer.

I appreciate everyone’s responses. I’m just trying to make it more Siri steal. Further questions ...
I’m looking at the Anderson hitch lock to prevent my $800 WD hitch from being taken. https://andersenhitches.com/collecti...nd-accessories
Thoughts on this lock or others?

Send photos. I’m trying to secure my AS at a storage facility. Or at a least as much as possible. I saw a Hensley secured less than I normally secure mine at a campsite.
