Sumo Springs and Sumo Coils

We got a 2023 F150 last fall. Towed twice last fall with standard factory setup. This winter, I installed sumo coils on the front springs and sumo springs (blue) on the rear. (This is NOT about towing capacity but the ride comfort.) When unloaded, there is no change in the ride. This sumo spring sits about an inch above the axle.

Hitched up this weekend to go to the eclipse. WOW. First, the rear drop went from 3 3/4 to 2. Trailer sits level now. The bounce in the rear and front is dampened. The ride is so much more stable.

On the advice of lots of people on a Ford Ranger Forum, I had blue Sumo springs installed as well as Bilstein Shocks on the rear. Also bought a wdh. I just bought a 19' Bambi, smaller than your trailer. I can't get over how well it tows, its like one unit from front of truck to rear of trailer, just real positive feel. Sorry, can't attribute to any one thing, never towed without them but together they are all I hoped for. Squat is half an inch.
Previous towing was with an F150 and even lighter trailer with sway bar only. Plenty of capacity but always a bit loose feeling with porpoising on rough roads, never knew what I was missing out on.
Happy trails.

Another happy camper

Add me to the list of happy campers

I installed a pair of SumoSprings on the rear of our RAM 2500 (coil suspension) and wow, what a difference when going over bridges or rough pavement. No more rebound after the dip, rock solid. I also did the Bilsteins on all four corners.

Shout out to fellow forum member Life is a Highway who recommended them to me.

Glad you liked the set up

I did the same with my F-250 6.7. Which when new road like a tank and handled like Shamu the whale in a corner.

Bilstein Shocks are also a huge part of the new ride
