Sport 16 Weight Distribution System needed?
Do I need sway or weight distribution system for a Sport 16?
Its recommended of course. Maybe I need one more because a light wind could blow that trailer down a parking lot. Would appreciate any opinions. Thanks.

What will you tow with? That will decide.

Whether you need weight distribution, or not, depends on the tow vehicle. If the weight of the trailer on the back reduces the load on the front axle substantially, then you need weight distribution (to return load to the front axle). So, if you are towing with a small vehicle and the hitch is several feet behind the axle, yes. But, if you tow with a 1 ton truck, no.
Sway control, yes you need.

The trailer will be hauled by two tow vehicles. Ford F250 and 2016 Toyota Land cruiser. Forgot to add that. Thanks for the comments. Already have an E4 equalizer set up for my 30' Flying bunk. I am assuming the weight rating for that(30'bunk) could be too much for the weight rating for the Sport. Can I use the same equalizer E4 set up on the Sport?

F250 No to WD.
LC my guess is no also but not familiar with that rig.
I tow our FC19 with a tundra 1/2 ton and no WD but a sway bar.
Drop the trailer on the ball and see what it looks like, if no rise in the front wheels your probably ok.
Others will disagree with my simplicity but you talking 350 lbs? of tongue weight.

Spring arms on your E4 (assuming you have the 1000lb bars like I do for my 30’) are too stiff for the 16’. Don’t do it you’ll rattle the bambi apart (as you know tension on the spring arms / WD needs to be applied with the e4 to activate friction-based sway control)
You need the 400lb or 600lb spring arms on the smaller equalizer unit (if you want to stick with that brand)... I believe the head is smaller for this spring arms = new hitch.
Alternatively per the other poster you might just not worry about WD with such a light tongue weight - and simply apply a single friction-based swat control arm. You do want sway control.......

Equalizer is both a weight distribution and a sway system, after all a 16’ Bambi Sport is still almost 2 tons of trailer.

Try a Hensley Cub it is down sized for smaller trailers such as yours.

I would go with a lighter spring bar as referenced in an earlier Post. Call Equalizer company or an Airstream dealer.

My dealer reccomended Sway Pro by Blue OX. The trailer will be used by my wife more than me probably. He thought it would work better. I am so used to Equalizer.....I feel like sticking with it. Sway Pro looks fine too I guess. Thanks for the responses.

Hi OKstream,
I have a Sport 16 also and wondering about sway control. I'm wondering what you decided and how it's worked out for you.
thanks
