Pigtails and brakes 1977 Ambassador

I've just ordered up a pigtail that'll insert into my 1977 ambassador and then plug into my 2006 Chevy Suburban.

How do the Tow Vehicle brakes interact with the pigtail?

Should things like the brakes work as designed or Do I need to get a brake controller? I plan on 2 or 3 short trips this year and a whole slew next year.

You need a brake controller. Some newer vehicles with towing packages have them built-in but I am sure the 2006 does not.

DO the brakes go to full on with the slightest tap without a brake controller or just no work at all?

They will not work at all unless there is a controller sending them a signal.

Do you have original brakes??.....with master cylinder and power brake booster??

Or, have they been converted to electric brakes?? If it's been converted, you'll need a brake controller.
