Ready to purchase a 2 year old 16RB Bambi this month and plan to pull it with a 2019 Discovery. First off what do I need to add to the Discovery for towing? What should I be Asking the current owner before I buy? Looking forward to joining the Airstream community..

Research trailer tongue weight and and confirm your Discovery has the tongue weigh capacity. I assume it will, but lnowing that and subtracking the tongue weight from your payload capacity will help you understand your vehicle cargo weight restrictions. While I suspect that technically you do not need a weight distribution hitch I would suggest you get more feedback from the community who has 16’ Bambi. I have a 20’ Bambi and a 5.7L Tundra. My Bambi only weights about 45% of what my truck is capable of pulling. I use a Blue Ox weight distribution hitch. I use a plain ole draw bar and ball to pull the trailer a couple miles from storage lot to my house. And I do not a difference between just using a plain ole hitch and the weight distribution hitch. Theweight distribution hitch, in my ase, tends to couple the truck and trailer in a more ridgid way, making for a smoother ride with far less “porpoise” effect on the truck as the traler wheels go over a bump after the truck does. I had pre-installed 90W solar panel and just added a second one on the roof today so that I have 180W. If you do not have any solar panel on top, but have a solar port on the front A-frame (it would likely be a Zamp port) you might consider addinga portable solar suitcase to keep batteries charged up while you are using lights and fans during the day, along with the DC refridge. Take Care, Stephen
