New truck!

Hey y’all!

First wanted to say thank you for all the help! We purchased a 2018 ram 3500 mega cab lamarie Cummings. With a nice payload around 4300. I want to know what would be the best thing to get next. For towing. Like I said, new to all of this. We are pulling a 30fb bunk flying cloud. Should it be all set to go? Install the ball and all set ? Would you suggest any next steps? Add one that would make life easier and safer for towing.

Install the ball and all set. You're good to go.

You want to make sure that the trailer is level when towing it so that the load on the two trailer axles is equal. For that you will need a ball mount with a drop of approximately 6". After you get all loaded up for travel it may be necessary to modify the drop by an inch or so to get a level trailer. As for the truck it will be very close to level under load.

Thanks you for the help! I was reading a little bit about stabilization bar as well. Would you suggest getting one for the truck? Not the hitch. But the actual truck. Would it be Benifical?

It should not be necessary. There was a thread here about a month ago dealing with "death wobble" but it was unique to the F-250. I can say my Ram 2500 does not have the problem.

Congrats! What a beast a 3500. Shopping for a truck myself.
Happy trails.
