Need new trailer tires for '65 Globetrotter

I know there are many opinions and probably many threads on this subject BUT I have spent the better part of two weeks perusing the site for answers and I am still a confused newbie if ever there were one.

We need new tires for our '65 GT. She is 20 feet long, 2980 lbs dry. The original tires are as old as the hills. Wheels too.

We are looking at michelins. We have them on our TV and other SUV with great satisfaction.

When we go shopping tomorrow, we plan on removing the wheels and taking them with us to a tire shop.

1. Will any tire store chain be able to get us what we need?
2. What should we ask for so we get the specs right? Load rating? PSI? Etc.
3. If there is already a thread that addresses this, please do add a link.
