Need advice for Don

Hello,

I own a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer with a v8 engine. What make, model, etc.. of airstream could I tow with it? And...what kind of tow system is the best to use. ? Any other information that would be useful is also welcomed. Thank...Don

A starting point for you.
Truck and SUV Towing Capacity Charts

Go to the Airstream website and look at the trailer specs.

Read the forums and you'll get more rec's on systems than you ever needed. ;-)

I tow a 24' Argosy with a 2006 Trailblazer with a 6 cylinder engine. Works great, no problems.

http://www.justanswer.com/chevy/4ump...-capacity.html

This link addresses the towing capacity of the 2007 Trailblazer based on axle and engine combo. I'm assuming the 08 is similar but your need to check your manual to be sure.

If you have the right engine/axle combo, you can go fairly large according to this (up to 11000#) though you should be sure of your hitch's capacity - your receiver may limit your tongue weight which you can figure to be about 15% of your trailer weight.

Lots of variables, but ballpark guess from me would be to stick to 27 or smaller trailer.
